I think our dogs have been a bit of a bad influence. That or we played UNO for too long and too intensely this evening. (at Home)

What I planned on doing: Writing a somewhat extensive post about how weird, scary, exhilarating, and fun it was to do a one-show run for a play where none of us met (or saw) the other actors prior to being on the stage and in the scene.

What I am actually doing: Nursing the remnants of a migraine along with my guilt from having to shirk strike. Followed by promptly falling asleep so the post can be written tomorrow.

Between court dates, lawyer visits, rehearsals, tech, hospitals, neurologists, and the transforming my room into an office space, I’ve realized I feel like I no longer am an Internet person - let alone one with a blog.
Oops.

What I should be doing: learning my lines and marking my blocking.
What I’m actually doing: “I CAN HANDWRITE THINGS ON THIS PHONE WITH THE BUILT IN STYLUS. OMGHELPFUN!”

Icarus/Íkaros/Ἴκαρος

" Daedalus fashioned two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Daedalus tried his wings first, but before taking off from the island, warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea, but to follow his path of flight. Overcome by the giddiness that flying lent him, Icarus soared through the sky curiously, but in the process he came too close to the sun, which melted the wax. Icarus kept flapping his wings but soon realized that he had no feathers left and that he was only flapping his bare arms, and so Icarus fell into the sea and drowned."

I secretly have a crush on you from across the band and really appreciate the 15 measures the composer wrote where we both rest. It gives me time to try and lock eyes with you “accidentally.”

Tell me a tale so beautiful that the stars will strain to hear;
The song you feared to end is just beginning.
So sing me a city of wishes and fire,
Sing me a traveling song,
I will give you worlds of wonder, and a feather cloak to keep you warm
